Prolonged Field Care is a circumstance, an operational challenge, and a distinct clinical approach.

Founded in 2014, PFC borrows best practices from across operational and medical disciplines with a unique body of literature to form a distinct set of principles, and capabilities that can be systematically implemented into distinct priorities of work to aid the medic in providing the best care possible in the worst situations.

Use the RAVINES mnemonic to set priorities of work…

Resuscitate and Replace TQs

Airway Care and Analgesia

Ventilate and oxygenate

Initiate telemedicine

Nursing care  and Environmentalconsiderations

Expectant Casualty Care

Surgical procedures

…to implement these principles…

…and these capabilities…

…with this construct:

…to perform efficient PFC.
